GM: Ja Lucifer hatte halt die Wahl entweder weiter im Gral eingesperrt sein oder in Mellvin einfahren... war eine schwere Entscheidung... aber ein bewegliches Gefäß war ihm dann doch lieber.

Yesterday I received my discounted promos for #VampireTheMasqueradeRivals. Thus completes my collection for the game. Too bad Renegade decided to discontinue the game. It is really good.
Two takeaways:
1. Make our own cards (a la Android Netrunner).
2. I probably will not purchase anything more from Renegade (aka apparently now primarily a Hasbro subcontractor).

Wir haben Vampire the Masquerade 5e gespielt und die Charaktere haben ein Erlebnis hinter sich (eskalierende Werwölfe, die eine Gang vor ihren Augen auseinandergenommen haben). Die Charaktere haben auch alle Menschlichkeit 8 :) Es war schön.

I do think players and the table do actually like some simple mechanical challenge sometimes, but broadly I'm agreement that if you want drama & character, focus on obstacles & decisions outside of mechanics.
It's one of the reasons I've always loved games like #VampireTheMasquerade and #LegendOfTheFiveRigns, where players have lots of power by default & the question is more "How do you want to use it?”
