well I finally got to ride a clydesdale but not how I expected, so I can say I’ve tried vaulting with a friend and it was actually rad! Got to work with this sweet 17hh mare that I already miss, everyone who said drafts were fantastic was right. Super forward, very comfortable, and just the chillest mannerisms

The Great Refectory

The larger refectory in the castle of the Teutonic Order at Malbork in Poland.
The largest castle—by area—in the world, the extravagant arch vaulting of the roof is both beautiful and eye-catching, but it’s not the only remarkable thing in shot.
Just visible in the floor at the bottom of shot is a six by six grid of white squares containing dark circles. These are the hot air outlets, part of the castle’s “hypocaustum” or central-heating system, which channeled air heated over hot rocks through stone conduits under the castle floors.
