VITAL note to anyone using Final Cut Pro: you can only store your libraries (projects) on drives formatted with an Apple filesystem (or a *very* carefully configured network drive). They depend on specific metadata and if you, e.g., copy them in the Finder to another filesystem, they may not open in FCPX in the future.
Discovered this after archiving projects to my NAS for years... 🙁 #fcpx #videoworkflow
