Kill Team: Tomb World weekend finally arrived! I ran the Death Watch to victory, though I credit that mostly to his complex the Necron's Matrix mechanic is to get right. There were several points that would have gone radically different if the Necron's had realized how much emphasis to put on staying centered on those Nodes.

Rematch will be much trickier.

Base colors complete across the other six Death Watch Marines as well. Before I go back with details I'll take a minute to work on terrain. Goal is to look great this weekend when I have some play time scheduled..

Six new Kill Team Deathwatch Space Marine miniatures partially painted with another five Firstborn Marines who previously got highlighted and my first four Death Watch Marines from this set.

Only a bit of brush time, but I'll take it. Added some gold and caught a few leather pouches and straps that I miss with the brown. Next up is shades, highlights, heads, and details.

Trying a different approach with the Tomb World terrain: prime on sprue and then remove/assemble/paint. The push fit to assemble the paying area looks much easier than Gallowdark was and there are only a few pieces that need to be glued together vice just snapped on place temporarily.

Getting started building and painting the new Deathwatch Kill Team and it reminded me that I had these five classic minis on the shelf. A friend of a friend passed them my way many years ago. The paint job isn't so gloppy that I feel a need to strip and repaint them, but I do want to fill in more of the details that were neglected the first time around.

A friend managed to snag me a copy of the Dawn of War: Onslaught set so I launched right into it in order to do right by their kindness.

I assembled one character, one Eradicator, and one Bladeguard and just got as much done in a day as I could. I think these are a solid 80% complete at this stage.

My friend also gave me some 3D printed, collapsible terrain, so I primed one of those buildings at the same time and did a speed run on it today, too.

I decided to mess around with the #grymwatch and painted up this #ghoul. Pictured alongside one of the vampires of the crimson court to give the camera more to focus on. I figured these would be quick and fun. I spent about an hour on this guy, and I broke some of my recent “rules” while painting it, but I think the result looks pretty good.
