I certainly don't need a another role-playing game! Still, I'm really looking forward to the new #Tunnels&Trolls and #Warhammer: #TheOldWorld #TTRPG. Both pretty sure comparatively #ruleslight. Luckily no #dnd / #Osr nonsense I can't see/hear anymore either! #WFRP #bucketlist

As I am trying to learn #Italian and am an enthusiast of both #TTRPG and #folklore , getting into #Brancalonia is an obvious choice - although I know that most of the cultural references will pass me by until I have a firmer understanding of #Italy and its culture.

The books have been a fun read so far, although I am not a fan of the publisher's decision to release this setting for #DnD5e , and limit character progression to levels 1-5. I can _understand_ why they did it - this game has the biggest user base of all, after all. But if I were to run a campaign for this setting, I'd probably use #WFRP , which does "a ragtag bunch of misfits constantly getting into trouble" exceedingly well.

I must say, playing a local celebrity(*) in #WFRP has been extremely satisfying so far.

Guards start questiong everyone about mysterious disapperances in a nearby inn?

I just say: "Hey, I know this wizard who is _amazing_ about investigating weird stuff! You should totally let her have a look at this!"

And thus, I manage to get the party full, supervised access to the premises while I stand around outside and talk to the Captain of the Watch and my other fans in the guard.
