I got curious about whips and came across this video from Smarter Every Day with guest April Choi. They took amazing slo-mo footage with Schlieren imaging of a whip cracking and breaking the speed of sound. You can see the shock wave forming around the tip of the whip. A quick(-ish) drawing messing around a bit with pose and perspective, as well as colour blending.

It's a tiefling/devil-blooded lady with a whip! There are probably reasons why I draw these things.

Random note: I've noticed that the colours I use in my drawings have gotten more saturated in the last year or two than my earlier stuff, and I'm slowly going mad trying to work out if that's a good thing or not.
