Apparently, Norwegian "energy company" Equinor has been in the news a bit in regards to them building a massive offshore #Windturbine park outside NYC, and #Trump making things very difficult for them.

Reading only these news, #Equinor might seem like a wonderful, green company, standing their ground against #MAGA Trump.

Equinor is not a good company.

Equinor is far, far from a good company.

They are only green when there is profit to be had, and they continue argue for why we should pull oil & gas up as much as we can.

And seemingly workers safety does not seem to matter all too much either. Specially when they are foreign workers.

Went to the nearby wind turbines today. 1500 kW in a single turbine. That's more than enough for our entire village. I don't understand why ever village and town has their own turbines and buffer nowadays. This seems so easy, sustainable and minimal invasive.

Windenergie hat einen CO₂-Rucksack aus der Produktion – wie jede Technik. Aber: Dieser ist schnell „abgearbeitet“. Eine moderne Windanlage gleicht ihre Emissionen je nach Standort bereits nach wenigen Monaten aus – und produziert dann jahrzehntelang nahezu emissionsfrei Strom.

Zum Vergleich: Ein Braunkohlekraftwerk „rechnet sich“ nie – es pustet für jede Kilowattstunde über 1000 g CO₂ in die Luft.

Fazit: Wer das Klima schützen will, kommt an Wind nicht vorbei. Auch in Sachsen.
