Just over three hours for this one while watching the last two #wjpc finals. Personal best for a 500 piece, haha 🤦‍♀️

On the bright side, plenty of room to improve!

Lessons learned from this one:

- Puzzles with a lot of plain black are a terrible choice when you live in a dark house

- Making a plan is fine, but if unexpected pieces stand out from the pile just scrap the plan and go with your gut

- My pyjama top is not suitable speed puzzling attire

- Shape sorting works, who knew?!

- Remember to pause the timer if you're too excited and need to watch the TV for a bit (that individuals final was emotional, ok 😂)

A completed jigsaw puzzle with all kinds of ocean creatures in red, blue and yellow. They overlap each other are are generally a jumble, the idea being that you put on various coloured glasses to view one layer of the design at a time!

Ooh, in the Australian pairs team of Keelie Reader & D'Arne Healy, D'Arne is from #Perth! Finished Round A with a time of 1:01:00.

ICYMI: world championship speed puzzling is being held from today until this weekend in Valladolid, Spain and being broadcasted live on the WJPF's YT channel.

If you ever wondered what 200 people doing a 500 piece puzzle in about 40 minutes or more look like this is your chance. Pairs and teams are also competing.

Unreasonably hyped for the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship to start later today. It was surprisingly compelling last year, with some real tense finishes and underdog stories.

I'll be curious to see if they've added a bit more production quality after the big boost in viewers last year, but probably not. It doesn't seem like that kind of organisation.

Anyway there's no official hashtag afaik so I'm going with #WJPC, filter as required if I get overexcited and post too much 😆
