Valve vient d'installer le driver Oasis des WMR dans la beta de SteamVR.

Pour rappel, les WMR ne fonctionnent plus sur Windows 11 depuis la mise à jour 24H2.
Un développeur indé a donc bossé de son coté pour travailler sur un pilote permettant de refaire fonctionner les casques. Le pilote appelé Oasis est sorti avant hier.
En l'intégrant à la beta de SteamVR, mêmeles utilisateurs n'ayant jamais entendu de ce nouveau pilote non officiel va pouvoir en profiter.

Thanks @Microsft for removing #WMR from Win11. I totally didn't need it to use my old Samsung WMR headset. Thanks for rendering it absolutely useless. Let me just sell some feet pics online in hopes to get a new #VR headset that I didn't want to have to buy.

Reminder: please sign the petition to ask Microsoft to opensource the WMR-Framework - please even if you don't use a WMR-device! Let's avoid this e-waste-disaster!!

It really makes me feel good to think that I don't remember the last time I had to boot to Windows except for WMR VR.

I know the Mixed Reality scene is dying, since Microsoft is removing support in the future W11 update, so it's worrisome to what will happen to those VR goggles.

Even if cheap, they let me experience many good memories that I will cherish dearly.

I wish all Monado devs and others that work in that space all the support they can get. Bringing VR gear to Linux it not easy feat.
