Time does not heal all wounds. #Healing deep #wounds requires deep work from many people, and it requires people to have the tools and freedom necessary to heal. It requires a painfully honest and thorough exposure of the wounds and their roots, and a process of reclamation of all the contexts where those wounds live. It requires uprooting the sources of continuing harm. And sometimes it's a process that never ends. These are some of my thoughts provoked by visiting historical sites in #Ghana.
