One more make-of-the-year post: a #book #wreath for my friend Carly. I'd wanted to make one for like a decade and I finally had the chance.

Materials:
- wreath ring from Hobby Craft
- book pages from a fallen apart paperback (a Swedish Agatha Christie my MIL was throwing away)
- some thin copper wire

It's not super robust but I liked the result and more importantly, Carly loved it! A nice reuse of #bookpages that were otherwise destined for recycling.

The upper half of an external, rustic wood door with a wreath hanging on its center. Door is found in an old brick wall, a single brick layer is seen around the door frame. Bricks are earthy colors. Door and frame are dark brown-gray, deep grained wood. A long, thin, iron latch (rusting) anchors the door to the left of the frame while a smaller latch and padlock anchor it to the right. Wreath is bright and airy in comparison to the dark door, green with yellow pears and red berries. Wreath is both leaves and pine branches.

Beside #WhitemudDrive, a #highway outside #SherwoodPark, #Alberta, there are three #wreaths. They are like the kind one places in front of a #tombstone.

I am convinced they're marking the #vehiculardeaths of someone on that road but I never dare slow down to look as doing so would surely guarantee getting into an #accident myself.

This always makes me question the wisdom of placing such wreaths by the roadside in the first place...
