The bomb the Main Character was trying to defuse goes off early, a critical item is stolen, and the Secondary Character is brainwashed.

Though I did not write all in the same story.
With some 800ish words in the story from the Lent Challenge and some 1200ish from The Princess and The Sword.

I'm couting them both together for the purpose of hitting the daily wordcount of 1000 words.

Well, there it goes my challenge of 'writing 1000 words per day during Lent'.

Wrote mere 300 words on the 29th and absolutely nothing on the 30th.

Kind picked it back today, already made to the 1000 words mark, even though I already know at least half of it will be discarted.
They still count, always had.

Nothing else to do besides continuing it I reckon.

It does help I have no plan, no pressure in how the story should reach its end.
All I know is this:
- there's someone with a gunblade (yeah, FFVIII/FFXIV)
- there's someone who "turns invisible"
- there's someone who dies
- and there's someone who betray.
Ah, it is also a mission to kill a god, or something close to it anyway.

What changed now? When I set a goal of writing 1000 words per day during Lent.
I don't know. But I'm sure not minding that I'm swapping some characters whole identity as I write. Some times back again.

I must confess, I haven't had good fun in writing for so many years.

The more I learned about the craft, the more critical I've became of my own work. This led to disappointment and less and less time writing, and since "no writing = no development", I've never stopped being too critical.

The great question that troubles the minds of men since the dawn of time: I wrote some more just about midnight.
Should the word count go towards 27 or 28th?

^^x

I will place them on yesterday, 27/03, as I hadn't sleep yet.
But I won't fret if I don't make 1000 tomorrow.

Well, this means my daily max is now at 2055 words ^^x.

Another 1044 words done, for a total of 25605!
Meaning I reached March's goal four days ahead of schedule.

It is time to move the story to its conclusion, and I don't think it will take 21 days worth of writing to reach it (there will be 17 days in April).

But then again, I am me, I'm bound to go on a 210 thousand words detour, which would take more than 21 days to write.

1072 words done.

But I kind of cheated.
I went back and wrote a prologue.

Work was very mental intensive today, and I just can't focus.
So I introduced a prologue that I had wrote once long ago.
Of course, going from memory alone, the right idea, different development.

Will it stay? Probably not. But it does work with the current story.

Researching my family tree,
I found out a very strange thing.
An old progenitor to me,
Once tried to overthrow the king.

[I found out that a direct ancestor of mine was involved in the Monmouth Rebellion and fought at the Battle of Sedgemoor in an attempt to overthrow James II]

Memorial for the Battle of Sedgemoor that reads;
To the glory of God and in memory of all those who doing the right as they gave it fell in the Battle of Sedgemoor 6th July 1685 and lie buried in this field or who for their share in the fight suffered death, punishment or transportation pro patria.
