@saramg Realized I effed up calling it a pump after the fact, but decided to let it ride.

It's amazing - I thot the geocities-era-esque design of #AAPS and #xdrip was solely the result of open-source software being robned of good #uxdesign by society, but now it appears there's actually a pre-existing corporate influence for it.

I just cut an alpha release of Reläa, it's an application that sends glucose readings from a dexcom sensor to smart glasses (Even Realities G1b).

Unobtrusive glucose alerting without audible alarms, or vibrations.

Alright I’m tired of waiting on #Dexcom & #Tandem to consolidate my data. Is there a good intro to #xdrip (specifically #xdrip4ios )?

I’ve been #T1D for 40 years w/ good control, but #gastroparesis is further complicating things. I want to get everything (#G7 #CGM readings, #tslimx2 carbs & #insulin deliveries, & #AppleHealth data) in one place. Ideally this would be a dynamic link/source I could tie into #PowerBI to discover trends & hidden factors for optimizing basal rates & corrections.

Are there any public #Matrix chatrooms about #WeAreNotWaiting #nightscout #diabetes #xdrip or #juggluco ? I'd like to get in touch.

@fsf Long term plans involve making an app that combines both the #xdrip and #AAPS apps into a single, more efficient app, with a better UI design.

@fsf This is why #WeAreNotWaiting and I ended up installing #xdrip and #AAPS on my phone. I have the Dexcom G6 because it is the best CGM in the U.S. that works with #xdrip .

I went on an insulin pump for the first time and told my doctor that I wanted an Rx for the OmniPod Dash(not the newer OmniPod 5) and that I wouldn't accept anything else because it worked best with #AAPS .

None of the official apps work with my smartphone, and I'm not letting my disease dictate my phone choice.

@salakala ah that’s why I never went with #xdrip… it’s Android only. C’est la vie.

@VTDARKSIM, the documentation for #Xdrip+ can be found here: https://xdrip.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ There IS a learning curve. On the bright side, you don't have to abandon #Dexcom completely and IIRC it's possible to use both. I'm assuming you're using Android. There is similar app for iOS as well but I'm not fluent in Apple.

Disconnects prolly are due to application getting evicted from phone's memory and being a battery optimisation "feature".

@salakala I’ve heard of #xdrip but don’t know anything about it. The only concern I have with completely abandoning the #Dexcom app is the random disconnects I get with data between Dex & 3rd party apps/services.

I've forsaken the Dexcom app and went with #xdrip which uploads to a #NightScout instance for off-device logging and reporting.
