It is not good for a student on the path to change teachers and accumulate diverse teachings about the path and the mystical knowledge related to it.
The student magnetically clings to the students of different teachers and sometimes also to the teachers themselves. Teachers also dislike this intrusion of this adept who jumps from guru to guru, because it harms the development of their own disciples, since it goes against the natural flow of development on the path. It also represents a waste of energy and a loss of time for the guru or swami.
We should approach spiritual development in the same way we approach the study of a refined art. If you are studying Vina with a very experienced teacher, he will not like it at all if you study with three or four other teachers at the same time, without his knowledge. He will require you to attend classes and practice diligently between them.
With obedience and loyalty, you will be so satisfied with the results of the development of your talent that you will not want to rush to see what other teachers are teaching, nor will you be interested in meeting their students.
Students only switch from one teacher to another when they disobey their current teacher.
