I took this picture in 2006 during a traditional ceremony to honor the Sea, conducted by a traditional javanese community called the Hondodento. This community still believes the balance between human and nature. They believe that the Sea (Indian Ocean) is reigned by a powerful queen, the Southern Sea Queen. Once a year, they hold a ceremony to give offerings to the Sea and pray for forgiveness to what human do to the nature.
