I have an overwintering white-throated sparrow visiting regularly. They do occasionally stay over in SK instead of migrating down south. This fellow has a habit of stopping by very early in the morning, or after sunset, before the local house sparrow mob arrives.

Second to last, "With Interest" in Saskatchewan Screams, an anthology of prairie horror. This nasty little anti-capitalist fairy tale about a bank that deals in life went through 44 rejections before finding a home close to home, which is another new record for me. Really proud of having made it into another hometown production, and hoping to have something to submit to the next edition!

We went to look at the weir yesterday and it’s really almost undetectable. Usually there’s a fairly large step down, where the pelicans fish. (Obviously no pelicans here in the next little while)
