Having tried Tiling Window Managers, I realised what I was looking for was a decent workspace manager and #tmux or #zellij in a good terminal app. #Gnome with a couple of extensions provides the former, and #kitty the terminal, though we are spoilt for choice there. It’s a funny old #linux world.

TIL that #zellij can open the buffer in $EDITOR. 🤯 This is a superior approach towards copy/search from shell. Love it.

Ugh. ssh + #zellij + vim, hold down Ctrl+Alt+j which I have mapped to "scroll up 2 lines" in #neovim (map is: 2<C-E>)
... and after a while of scrolling suddenly SOMETHING breaks and vim gets fed different keystrokes which appear to be as if I'd asked it "undo 1000 times" - because it undoes everything and then says "Already at latest change".

I think it's zellij. Can't repeat the problem without that.

I have repeat-keys quite fast (in Gnome), but shouldn't result in keycode corruption, right?

Til that #zellij saves and can ressurect the session. This eas my showstopper. Never replaced some tool that quick. Bye #tmux and thanks for all the multiplexing.

Isn’t Zellij a more beginner-friendly version of Tmux? I see more and more people using it. Is it simply that they all had a hard time learning Tmux, or does Zellij offer any benefits over Tmux? #zellij #tmux
