5. Chess - my rating 9/10 ♟️

At the time I didn't think about drawing a chessboard, I just started drawing and got carried away.

I really liked this zentangle because it was unexpected.

4. Circling - my rating 7/10 🔵🟣🟤🔴🟡🟢

I decided to go in a different direction and use a compass to draw circles instead of doing them by hand.

At the time I didn't have a wide color palette and I wanted to used two different shades of each color, in somes circles worked, in other not so much!

I had the opportunity to wind down after a long week yesterday and follow the Zentangle HQ Project Pack 26 Day 5 video. I decided to keep it simple and not add any watercolour additions which were in the video. This is Tangle Tile No. 178 - Blind Ravel.

3. Stained glass resemblance - my rating 8/10 🙂‍↕️🪟

I tried to use a palette of four colors and distribute them as evenly as possible. I didn't want two colors to blend together, so I ended up using black.

Now that I look at it again, I really like it, and it looks like stained glass.

Finished tile with black ink on white card, graphite shading, pink watercolour wash on the Festoon Berries (which have gills which look like the underside of a mushroom) and purple gradient watercolour wash on the tips of the starfish “legs”!

I had to draw the 5-sided “starfish” string before tangling as I did not buy the official Project Pack and started with a blank tile.

I’ve not bought the #zentangle Project Pack 26 materials but they do encourage you to use what you have too. So this is my take on Day 2 with a grey Zendala: Tangle Tile No. 173 - Paradoxical.
