In Greek mythology, the Trojan War is considered the end of the Age of Heroes. In some versions, it was purposefully instigated by Zeus because he was worried that all these demigods could be a threat to the gods. Thus, Zeus caused a war to make them slaughter each other.

You know what it's like?

It's like they took "Leave, Luanne" and decided to make it into a cutesy christian romcom with ghosts in it

A comic about Persephone and Hades by Grendelmenz drawn in a simple but gritty and emotionally raw style

It shows images of Persephone surrounded by flowers, of Hades and Zeus shaking hands to seal their deal, of Persephone and the nymph Cyane facing each other smiling and holding a bouquet while surrounded by wheat, of Persephone's hand collapsed on the ground holding the daffodil that was placed by Gaia to lure her into Hades' trap, of Hades dragging Persephone away by her arm, of Hades grasping Cyane's wrists, overpowering and pushing her away as she weeps, and of Demeter wandering through the wheat field looking for Persephone while just out of frame Hades hold his hand over Persephone's mouth to prevent her from screaming

The text reads:

Is there anything more romantic than Persephone and Hades?

How lovely it was of Zeus to give her to the god of the underworld

How sweet of Hades to prey upon her

To tire her

To steal her

To fight her friend Cyane, a nymph, and leave her to weep herself to water

To trick her mother (who knew what happens to wives) into straying from her child's sideA comic about Persephone and Hades by Grendelmenz drawn in a simple but gritty and emotionally raw style

It shows images of Demeter's hands digging desperately in the dirt, of sheaves of wheat, of a cut pomegranate with three seeds falling out, of Persephone's eyes looking downcast, afraid and hopeless, and of Demeter and Persephone tearfully hugging upon finally being reunited in a field of wheat

The text reads:

How dreamy it is; Demeter, clawing at the earth for her daughter, distraught

Goddesses made powerless, a favourite image of poets

We sing of handsome Hades forcing seeds down Persephone's throat

"Hades," we croon, "a tender and innocent god"

"Fuck that Demeter" we snarl "for making poor Hades lonely half the year"
