Went to the Multnomah County #Library and was disappointed to learn that the only way for your #zines to be considered for their selection is if you pay to have a booth at a #convention for your zines - they MIGHT have a person at the convention around who MIGHT purchase one of your zines in order to MAYBE include it in the -public community library-.

Okay. Feels like how local #artists can only afford to get into the art #museum on free Thursdays.

I just finished reading «Cranko!», a cute PlayDate zine I stumbled upon, because @StephanRewind mentioned it (great devlog: https://stephanrewind.itch.io/atlantic-41/devlog). 🗞️ Pat, the creator, went out of their way to enable me to pay via wire transfer (didn’t want to use PayPal) & I received the issue just in time before XMas. 🎁 The zine is lovingly handcrafted, I enjoyed learning about new games & dev insights (discovered «Panels»). Got some new #zines. #COVID related because that shits still infecting and killing people.

Two zines.

The first is titled, "Why I mask & take COVID precautions" and has cover art featuring a person in a mask being coughed on.

The second is titled, "How to take a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test)" and features a drawing of a rat holding a cotton swap next to a negative COVID test.
