I’ve been in a pitched battle with the Zune software over recognizing some recently-ripped compilation CDs as single albums and I seem to have finally gotten the upper hand, so I’m feeling accomplished.

Hey. So. 😅
One of the folks here suggested I put out the Holiday Gift Crowdfund hat to get this Zune holiday sweater (which is $80) as a gift from the community. Since they still have a handful in stock and it is indeed still a thing I could order, and it’s incredible and I will shamelessly wear it in public, but I do not have that in the budget right now, what with the 8 cats and a modest mortgage.
So if anybody wants to throw a few dollars into the hat for that, my PayPal is trixter at gmail dot com, and I will update the post as needed. And I can at least cover shipping on my own.
95/80! And with a few dollars of leftover Patreon money I had sitting in my account, that’s shopping and taxes covered too. Gonna go ahead and place the order, this really means a lot!!!
I love you all. 😂

Not sure if it’s A Tragedy or Honestly For the Best that I don’t have $80 to spend on a novelty sweater right now.

Took a peek inside my #Zune HD today and found that it's dedicated to "our Princess" on the inside of the back cover.
Turns out that Princess is an admin assistant on the team who passed away. A nice tribute, hidden inside a failed product.

It is crazy to me in my lifetime I have read so few #books . Minus the two I marked out (first two #Foundation books I read recently in the past 3 weeks) 27 is quite few for some who 33, as that is not even one a year. Now on reality I have probably read more but if I can not think of them or remember a single thing about it let alone the title then I would say I have not really read the book. I guess I could pad it with the few children's books I remember minus the ones I already have (Silverstein I put down as he was one of the first forms of book that I recall as a kid being able to read & understand even if it is short poems).
Let it be known it ceartinly has not been from lack of trying countless times in my life have I wanted to read something & my #ADHD brain will not allow it. As in yes I will be reading the text but my brain is not there & next thing I know I am 2 pages in & have ZERO clue what's happening.
The few books I was able to comprehend were based off movie so I had a loose foundation to go on, read as a class in school with reinforced explanation of what is going on, or read aloud to the class so I focused on the teacher's inflection & explanation as they read. In middle school I recall being blown away I was able to read two whole books on my own (Fat Kid Rules the World & Feed) which I still markup to Radom chance as the list of failed attempts to read heavily outways the contrary.
#Audiobooks is also a mixed bag because why yes I do love a good #podcast & have listen two them off & on since 2008 or so when I got my first 80GB #Zune, I can suffer from a similar issue of spacing out during the story. Only to come back 5 minutes later mentally & be like "huh". Though they do seem to have a higher success rate for me as I had gotten through 3.5 of the #FNaF books (hard reads I know) & Play Nice earlier in the year when I was forcing my self to walk more. Though this was only due to the fact that it was easier for me to grab a Audio Book than see what podcasts where still alive & if they were worth listening too.
I could keep ranting but I guess the tl;dr is that I am glad I have kinda found a workflow for reading books that seems to be a doing a good enough job as I am currently half way through my third book over the course of 4 or so weeks which is unheard of for me and something I never thought I would accomplish.
