1/3 Toshiro Mifune (Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Rashomon etc), mostly in the facial expression and bushy eyebrows.
1/3 Vietnamese high school classmate, who I obviously won't name to respect his privacy. But I thought he was super cool, because he had an MP3 player. It only held something like 128 mb but that was more than enough back in 2001. Also he got his license super early and drove himself to school. I think his car was a Nissan or a Honda, some sort of rice rocket. I've never been a car person, so it didn't matter at all to me like it did for some of the other students. I just admired that level of freedom and independence. I wonder what he's up to these days.

Don't let their 6 glowing red eyes and overall ominous Stegosaurus Xenomorph appearance fool you, the Xguzakquetllag are some of the sweetest, kindest, most wholesome folk you'll meet in the entire galaxy. They also are among the most technologically advanced and almost always willing to gift that technology for the benefit of the societies they encounter.
There must be a catch though. Well the story goes that when they first encountered humanity in 2300, they made an oddly specific request. They wanted a copy of Sega World Rally Championship in exchange for some of their tech . Apparently they're big fans of video games and racing and well, racing video games. The problem is that nobody had seen that game for almost 300 years, it had been considered long lost and existed only as a myth and in the imagination of some video game historians. Anyway, I digress, that's a story for another day.

Doctor Commander Chaghir is obsessed with rice. Which makes sense seeing as they are a member of The Order of Yuan Longping. 袁隆平 Yuan Longping (1930-2021) was an ancient Terran agricultural scientist who specialised in hybrid rice cultivation and production, which contributed to a boost in Terran food security.
When Chaghir is not working in the agronomics lab or the hydroponics garden, they can often be seen volunteering for rice cooking duty in the ship's main canteen. Even their hobbies are rice-related. They brew rice wine. They raise rice paddy ducks. And they play the Angklung, an ancient Terran musical instrument from the Java region which was traditionally played during the rice planting seasons centuries ago.
Rice has even played a role in Chaghir's love life. Their wife, Doctor Kylie Singh claims that Chaghir's Pulao is one of the main reasons for their marriage having lasted for so long. 🤣
