Remember, today 35 years ago there was the massacre of the Tiananmen Square protests.

Several hundreds to several thousand civilians were shot, at times in their backs, by the PLA as well as run over by armoured personnel carriers (APC) and main battle tanks (MBT). And thousands more were wounded.

34 years ago the Chinese Communist Party cemented its journey down the long road of an Orwellian nightmare.

On 4 June 1989 China indiscriminately massacred thousands of students at Tiananmen Square.

As I type this 34 years later, Hong Kong police have detained protesters on the anniversary of the massacre.
