Outcomes for Linkage Projects & Laureate Fellowships were anticipated weeks ago. If ARC Board approved before anticipated dates, they should've been announced by now.

Here appears the former shadow Education Minister, Senator Sarah Henderson. May she rest on the back bench in peace.
The new shadow is Senator Jonathon Duniam representing Tasmania.
His "first speech" in the Senate was the usual stuff but, poignantly, recalls how his wife's family sought asylum in Australia after fleeing the dictatorship in Albania.
We have been relieved of Senator Sarah Henderson's tenure as shadow Education Minister.
Her highlight was promising to bring back Ministerial veto over individual researchers' ARC grants while relentlessly pursuing a researcher whose politics she didn't like in public & Estimates.
Assessments for Linkage Projects 2025 (round 1) should now be available in RMS. Some DMers reported problems viewing them initially, but that seems to be resolved now.
Is this related to why announcements for Linkage Projects & Laureate Fellowships are delayed?
Maybe RMS couldn’t handle new grants being awarded when the other changes were being made?
Why doesn’t the ARC tell anyone what’s going on?
Simple transparency & expectations management would be nice.
ARC informed Research Offices last week that a major change was needed to all existing grant agreements relating to new rules for reporting & conflicts of interest.
Apparently, this caused problems in RMS for current grants.
Last night, RMS went down between about 10pm & 7am (AEST).

Almost 2 weeks since ARC's "update" on delays to Linkage Projects & Laureate outcomes.
Nothing since. Not even a schedule for announcements.
"We are aware this affects applicants". OK. But it also affects applicants for next round (apps due 25 Jun). Also affects industry partners; EOFY is coming
A DMer reports that the ARC have said Linkage Projects and Laureate Fellowships outcomes won't be announced this week.
Nor is it likely that even a schedule for those announcements will be published this week.
What on earth is going on there??
There's now 2 schemes for which the announcements are late: Linkage Projects & Laureate Fellowships.
Despite knowing this might happen more than a month ago, ARC still haven't got a new timeline!
The outcomes will have been determined, and only require ARC Board sign-off (not the Minister).

This "update" tells us there'll be updates in future.
They had the entire Caretaker period to reschedule the Linkage Projects & Laureate Fellowships announcements…

ARC have started tweeting again (just a promo for a Centre so far), so maybe Caretaker is over for their purposes.
There's also been a bunch of short outages on RMS, so maybe that behemoth is being re-awakened.
And Minister Jason Clare was reappointed today.
So, ready for announcements to start?
Still no outcomes announcement, or heads-up tweet, for Linkage Projects.
Now also expecting the same for Laureate Fellowships (9–19 May). Sometimes the ARC tell the recipients a few days ahead of the announcement, under embargo of course. Anyone heard anything? My DMs are open.
With Caretaker provisions now ending, outcomes for Linkage Projects 2024 (round 2) are expected … I guess any time soon?
ARC's Grants Calendar page hasn't been updated with when we should expect an announcement. Surely that's not too difficult at this point?!

I was a bit surprised by this. I felt sure that there’d previously been normal grant announcements in previous Caretaker periods, but a quick check doesn’t show any.
In the last Caretaker the Coalition informed some Cooperative Research Centre bids they’d be funded, & there was a who-ha about it.
