@jakesmolka I wouldn't say aarch64 (arm) Linux is particularly well supported given it's a niche within a niche, if that's what you mean. It's usable say to day, but don't be surprised if you have to compile from source some things or install a x86_64 interpreter. Otherwise, my T480s (8th gen intel) does show it's age when doing heavy duty things like compiling, but it's otherwise a very nice machine.

@Ek-Hou-Van-Braai I have a Neptune 4 that's quite nice, cheap and the firmware can be swapped by a community fork (OpenNeptune) which removes the propietary bits for a fresh klipper install on a modern Debian base. I had to install it cuz they ship an ancient Debian version (8 iirc) and it didn't have support for my 802.11n dongle lol.

@gsuberland I usually just clip it to my sweater with the AC clamp (lol) and it kinda works.

@neil yeah, definitely go for it, it's an amazing device. I reckon there was a lot of outcry whent he P10 launched due to the smaller main sensor in exchange for the telephoto, but with good lighting it's s good as the Pro, and the SOC improvements compared to the P9 are absolutely huge.

@neil I got a Pixel 10 Pro with GrapheneOS, and I gotta say that the desktop mode is a bit flaky compared to what the stock OS ships. However, if you enable it in the developer settings, it is quite usable.

However, I have to say that relying on GitHub releases is not that bad of a deal with an app store like Obtainium, which streamlines app updates. It's actually a quite secure model since it comes as straight from the developer as it possibly can.

@alice ngl I've opened dozens of locker locks and a few big-ish padlocks with just scissors and some bruteforce in anything in between 5 secs and a couple of minutes (I was the one to open random lockers in my HS for ppl who forgot the key when the headmaster, who had the master key, wasn't available). You can go a long way with macgyver tools in lockpicking lol. I really appreciate fedi lockpicking content!
