Lying in bed trying not to cough*. The struggle is real.
*At least until 🤠 is well and truly asleep.
Old Brisbane gal, returning to my roots.
2 cats.
Working in the CBD, living just north of Brisbane.
Rolling into retirement (hopefully soon).
I am the Brisbane version of @Andrea

@ash dinner out would be cheaper, but alas no fireworks... 🤣
@ash I nearly booked a place to stay for New Year's Eve today.... Well, if the year was only 11 months long I would have. 🤦🏻♀️
Fedi computer and network-touchers:
I’m hiring!
Looking for a senior-level linux and network type person in the Melbourne, Australia area.
Hit me up if you or anyone you know are interested.
Boosts appreciated!
Rest day continues. Cat assistance continues.
Pi performed his 'lap' duties earlier, it's Missy's turn currently.
@littlescraps I've had him forever! I just looked it up and they are from 1997, so he's nearing 30 years old. Which just makes me feel older as he came as a promotion with something - I can't recall whether it was a work or personal computer though.
I'm on a rest day and the cats are sticking close to help me.
I'm having a rest day and the cats have been sticking close to me regardless of which room I'm in. But not too close because I'm prone to cough loudly at random junctures.
#MissyMouse is on duty right now. #PiTheBengal is behind a curtain looking out the window, conversing with the birds.
@Unixbigot @caity ooh, clean sheets and fluffy doona are *the best*.
Bryon Bay Solar Train
We're currently in Byron Bay at a holiday house.
It feels like it's sub 0° (didn't stop us from having ice cream though!)
The only heating in this place is a tiny oil fin heater, plus the stove top - 🤠 has skillz!
I suggested just leaving the fridge door open.
@Ask_aubry well that's definitely a "take".
We're going away tomorrow for a long weekend (Byron Bay - family time), so I dropped the cats up at 🤠's house for oldest son to look after.
Backing into his driveway I managed to knock over a wheelie bin.
The thump acted as an alert and the garage door opened to reveal 2 laughing residents.
I declared 1) it's dark and 2) they don't have a doorbell so I improvised.
No real damage done except to my ego (no more joking about 🤠's lack of reversing abilities).
