Ghosting social networks for years at a time is apparently one of my hobbies. I just saw a video of a man crying on camera because he is teaching himself to read, and for the first time in his life read “Chalotte’s Web.”
I only read the book once, and I remember the emotional punch the last chapter had on me.
I cried with him. Not only because I remembered my own tears, but because I was proud that he is making his world larger be learning to read.
Sometimes, social media does right.
This was one of those times.
@trekfan4747 once upon a time, i had 2 copies of that. One was a gift from a friend and the other was from winning a reading contest at the library. I was SO EXCITED to get it and then.... Yeah. Not sure what happened there.
