Glacie

Hello! I'm Glacie, and I'm an Orchestral/World music composer who makes music for games, and my own games sometimes!

My commissions are open, so if you got a project that doesn't have any music, and need some music to go with it, let me know!! you can find more info about what I'm capable of, and what I've done before in my soundcloud on my profile, and my website.

@philsawa Unfortunately famistudio isn't very good for what we'd need, but we found something else, I can use sekaiju under WINE on mac and it works fine.

don't get me wrong, famistudio is amazing, it's a really good daw-like nes music editor with its own really really good homebrew driver, but what we were looking for was not something for nes games, and something that could handle more than 8 voices maximum(with vrc6)

Appreciate the suggestion though!!

@eniko yeah, that's how the system works

you can even set your system language to another language and play the game in that language
same goes for digital games

I do that sometimes if I want to play a game in Japanese for reading practice xD

The video version of the Dire, Dire Docks arrangement that I made with my MU90 is up on youtube now! youtu.be/sdC7HTSBYPM

@RetroHax I know this is nearly 2 months over, but I noticed that. I've already pretty much shut down my fivver account and I did make a Ko-fi, just haven't really promoted it yet anywhere

I don't know how many people need music for their games, but I wanted to put a reminder out there that I'm available to work on game music/arrangement work! Whether you need DTM music made with actual hardware synths for a retro game, or orchestral/world, I can do that

I just wanted to let people know that I've now got a Fiverr account and a gig for 32-bit era style'd game soundtracks!! If *you* are a Indie Game Developer, Project Lead, or whatever else and you need SNES/N64 style music for a project, this is for you!

(Please keep in mind that I'm both new to fiverr, and somewhat new to freelancing only have been doing it for a year, and only worked on one project)

@sako this is cute!!

@zlago I mean, whatever the right direction is is up to you hehe
it's your game after all

@zlago apparently not.
now if only I could save that visualized audio as a video from mastadon to post to other platforms, that'd be cool

holy hell, mastodon has an audio visualizer?? this is the first I'm seeing this, and it's super cool

Just finished this track for a game I'm working on for a game jam.

it's quite a bit of a different style than I usually do, but I'm exploring hehe
this one specifically is very afro-cuban inspired with the percussion and overall instrumentation. enjoy!!

came back to gbdev, and **finally** understand oamdma now. took me 7 months of trying it, going to something else, and trying it again in a loop, hehe

one of my favorite facts I learned while doing NESdev is that since numbers overflow at 255, and the screen size is 256x240, objects basically automatically wrap around the screen, hehe

@zlago ehh... it's a little more complicated than C, I think. then again, I don't write good C code :3

Assembly is weird ><

don't get me wrong, it's really fun.. but it's weird. you have to think about everything in a completely different way.
