@SeaFury I think I remember that being one of the standout things about this movie, but then I also seen to remember a shitty bowl cut in Rising Sun or LXG, or maybe both.
I put the time into working out a fun screen name; I guess I'd better figure out what I'm about here now. Random movie/geek/autism/polyamory thoughts, I suppose.

@SeaFury That's the mark of a good thriller: I don't know how many times I've watched it, but it still hits all the right notes.
@SeaFury Strike that, KGB cook knew what the real orders were all along.
@SeaFury I feel like bureaucracy wouldn't have batted an eye at Sam Neill getting the second key, out at least would have slowed down the KGB cook from getting suspicious.
Couldn't Sean Connery just have given the second nuke key to Sam Neill and saved himself a bunch of trouble?
I do kind of have to respect how geometry played a role in Sean Connery killing his ship's political officer. I'm not a math guy, but I can give props where I see them.
I feel like it's been a biiiiiig step down from The Hunt for Red October to Gerard Butler submarine movies. Does this mean I'm old now?
@chouiine Stabby-Stabby!
Gods bless the art nerds working on #MoonGirlAndDevilDinosaur
@AutisticAdam @actuallyautistic The one that really kills me is "what do you know?" as a form of greeting. I know a lot of things, but I'm pretty sure no one cares about most of them in that context.
Apparently DS9 is "old" Star Trek now. Someone get me a goddamn wheelchair, stat.
@actuallyautistic @autisticbookclub @autisticadvocacy Oof, I'm about halfway through now, and don't think I'm liking the non-monogamous representation, either. 😢
@chouiine Huh, zeroing in on the wrong part of the problem feels like it's been a running theme for me today.
@chouiine It's been a long time since I've studied or used the language, but this didn't ring quite true for me—I did a quick search and my first hit suggested the 'n' sound is conditional on the consonant that follows it. But again, I haven't had much to do with the language in some time, so if you've got sources that say otherwise, I'd be happy to check them out as well!
@chouiine If you've got time to fill until then, may I recommend Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur? I've got a friend in the production, and the art and music are really vibrant, and the writing pretty sharp, too.
I need a new hobby to get deeply invested in and then give up at the first sign of difficulty
@WintaireJaes For people—yours and others'—who do find it provides value in their day-to-day getting along, how much do they use, and when, and in what form? I could probably stand to work out a schedule for my own usage, if it makes dealing with the normie world a little less jarring.
@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic Only at bedtime, to slow myself down for sleep. Otherwise...
@chouiine That dog looks like he has *seen* some shit.
@chouiine That was a really nice defense. Thank you!
