Album Review: Radical Optimism (Extended Versions) by Dua Lipa

I never heard the original versions, but I think that makes me like this album even more. I tend to prefer the first versions of songs I hear, and this one instantly clicked. I’ve also seen people say the extended version fixes a lot of the issues the original had, which made me curious to compare them and I can with certainty say I like this one better. I could have this on repeat for hours and not get tired of it. In fact, I already have. 9.6/10.

Genre Review: Experimental R&B

As a big fan of R&B, I was really curious to dive into this genre. It keeps the best elements of traditional R&B while pushing it toward something entirely new. Blending electronic music, hip hop, and even alternative rock, Experimental R&B takes familiar sounds and twists them into something fresh and unexpected. It is a fun and dynamic genre that constantly evolves, making it exciting to explore. 8.3/10.

Album Review: Spin The Globe by Connor Price

The idea of collaborating with random artists from across the globe is brilliant, and it is great to hear such a wide variety of talent. While the songs are mainly good, they are not super impressive or groundbreaking. However, the uniqueness of the project makes it very fun and enjoyable. 8/10.

Album Review: AM by Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys have a soothing sound to them. It’s very slow rock in a sense. I can tell a lot of people find it overrated, but I’m not one of them. The tracks here are just purely fun to listen to. It takes all of the best elements of pop and rock and makes for a really moody and catchy atmosphere. 9.4/10.

Album Review: (What's the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis

I have a hard time getting into this one. My bias against Oasis probably comes from the absolute overplaying of "Wonderwall," which makes it tough to give the rest of the songs a fair shot. The album feels iconic to many, but it does not fully connect with me. Maybe it’s just me, but this one falls a bit flat. 5/10.

Album Review: Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf

This album is kind of corny and has way too many ballads, but overall, it is such a fun and epic experience. The mix of rock, pop, and dramatic elements makes it feel almost like a rock opera. I really like the creativity in how different genres are blended throughout the album. Despite how silly some of it is, Bat Out of Hell refuses to be a joke, and that makes it memorable. 7.6/10.

Album Review: Hyperdrama by Justice

Electric elements reign supreme on this album. The balance between the grittier instrumental tracks and the more disco/pop-oriented ones is awesome. In a fun way, Justice feels like an off-brand Daft Punk—not in a bad way, just different. Some tracks even sound like they belong in a Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack, which only adds to the experience. Tame Impala's feature fits perfectly, and overall, this was a really fun listen. 7.7/10.

Album Review: Alligator Bites Never Heals by Doechii

Doechii’s artistry is a breath of fresh air in the rap game. She has such a fierce presence, and her beats are always top-tier. Her style reminds me of Doja Cat in the best ways—versatile, creative, and effortlessly engaging. The production here is fantastic, keeping things dynamic and fresh throughout the album. Also, Doechii winning a Grammy gives me a wild sense of déjà vu. It’s an odd feeling, but well deserved. 8.4/10.

Album Review: Octavarium by Dream Theater

It must be a theatrical and metallic dream to make a song that would fit into this album. Listening to Octavarium is such an epic journey, and I absolutely love it. Sure, it's a bit prog-tentious, but it takes everything Dream Theater does best and cranks it up to 11. The whole concept of octa, or eight, is woven throughout—it's their eighth album, with eight tracks, and the title track itself has eight parts. Get it? That level of detail is also what makes Octavarium one of the songs of all time. Absolutely an 8.3/10.

Album Review: Ready to Die by The Notorious B.I.G.

I found myself bopping my head through so much of this album. Biggie’s flow is just on another level—smooth, effortless, and commanding. I can’t personally speak on what it’s like to be in the hood, but this album makes you feel like you’re right there, walking through the streets of the '90s with his storytelling painting every detail. It’s raw, iconic, and full of classic tracks. 9/10.

Album Review: The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess by Chappell Roan

Oh, how I just want to get up and dance and be wonderfully happy listening to this. It’s a joy all the way through. Her voice has this almost melodramatic flair—in the best way possible—blending raw emotion with infectious energy that keeps you hooked. I can already tell this is one of those albums that will only get better with each listen. Each track feels like its own little celebration, making it impossible not to smile. 8.8/10.

Album Review: rosie by ROSÉ

It’s fun seeing the different adventures the BLACKPINK members are on right now, and ROSÉ’s is no different. The songs are mostly love songs, with some more fun ones in between, like APT. I think the problem is that I heard APT and kind of expected the rest of the album to have a similar sound—but it doesn’t. Not too much to say about this album. It’s inoffensive pop music, not bad at all. 7.5/10.
