@Wearwolf It was just a recipe site, so I suppose it's possible that someone used text recognition to scan an old recipe card or something and didn't catch the mistake.

@cR0w I've always wondered what prompted it, whether they liked my company the way I liked theirs (I didn't feed them or anything, but I would talk to them and watch them hop around) or if it was just a sound effect they liked.

@cR0w Back in university my apartment balcony was a popular hangout for the magpies and crows who'd swoop down to the garbage bin nearby. I'd play computer games with the door open in summer to get some ventilation, and my computer was right near the balcony. One day I hear sound effects from my favourite game at the time. But I wasn't playing. One of the corvids had learned the sound and started mimicking it.

@Wearwolf It's all I can think of, but I'm not sure how you'd make that mistake. They're not exactly close to each other on the keyboard.

@Cal @Wearwolf that's because Microsoft uses the Sega layout- ABC on the bottom row, and XYZ above when they added more buttons to the controller. This is because for a while Sega and Microsoft collaborated on the Dreamcast. For this, they felt 4 buttons were sufficient, though, so they lopped off C and Z, giving us the ABXY layout we're familiar with

@pharmacistjudge Can't speak to any of these because Secret Lair has been so exploitative and such an ungodly bad experience that I've just stopped paying attention to them altogether... Which I think may also be a factor.

@pomegranate_stew @Wearwolf the problem is those colours usually come with a premium cost if they're available at all. Last time I bought a car, the available colors were white, black, grey, different grey, another different grey, grey-blue, green-grey, and burgundy.

So, "thou" is the English form of an old informal mode second person pronoun. Growing up bilingual in French, the idea of a formal and informal mode in English makes a lot of sense, and I like the idea of being able to invite people that I'm close with to use "thou" rather than you. And on the one hand when people ask for pronouns I always think about this, but on the other hand I don't know how to express it without sounding like I'm clowning on the concept of personal pronouns altogether.
