You can't just wait until the end and make a couple of so-so moves and expect people to move on from...all that.

Bloody fecking hell. I should have known Collins would be on the list. I thought I'd never hear about him again once he finally went to jail.πŸ™„

This is why omnibus bills, sadly forced by the Republican Senate sitting on its butt and refusing to do anything for months and months, are Not A Good Thing.

Hopefully, people have an idea of what a consolidated appropriations act is. Covid relief is a small portion of the overall Act.

But we need to get large corporate lobbyists out of these positions of so much power.

Internet access has become a necessity and should be much cheaper than it is, or free.

It's absurd that we don't consider internet access a utility in this country. It's especially true during this crisis when people are working and learning remotely, but internet access is increasingly important for people to be able to access banking and government services as well.

But a concept of regulated public utilities gets shouted down by MAGA mobs yelling about choice and free enterprise, of which the current internet availability has little, created by that exact system. We need to quiet them down.

This is a start.

Millions of low-income Americans will receive Internet access rebates under new $7 billion broadband stimulus plan -

@TonyStark Same issue when people favor an exclusively progressive agenda with no consideration for people in the middle. Sure, one can ignore the Trumpists, but you still need as many people outside of that orbit to vote your way, and not everyone outside of that orbit is as liberal as some of those progressive elements would like.

Common decency. It's not that hard.

We're in the middle of a pandemic. My friend @SteveRogers said something like this yesterday, but apparently it needs said again.

Be kind to your fellow human beings. We can. Cynicism might sound fun, but it leaves you nowhere at the end of our days. #SongOfTheDay
