@DerryLawlor Yes, I find it annoying. Do you know what we can disable to get rid of it? Also, when I first installed it, I had to go into VoiceOver settings and braille, and enable the onscreen keyboard. It totally screwed it up for a while. It took me a while to figure it out.

@gocu54 @tinygirl No, I don’t have it yet, but from the description, it doesn’t sound much smaller than the current digital player. I think the ability to download the books directly to the player is going to be great for a lot of people. However, there will be a learning curve when it comes to entering text.

@gocu54 @tinygirl I use my phone for listening to talking books most of the time now. I wish the new machine they released was a bit smaller.

Selling a pair of envision glasses for $500. They would normally retail for 2500. These do not have the 2025 software update pass, so you would have to pay for that upgrade on your own, but that’s why I’m making the price so low so that hopefully they will move. They come with clear lenses.

Waking up for work the first few days after the time change is always hard. I would love to see the time stay the same year round.

With the US experiencing the time change two weeks ahead of the rest of the world, it can be hard to tell what time it will be in another time zone. I got tired of counting on my fingers, so I wrote a little web app called Time Shifter Clock.

Set the two time zones by choosing a major city, and then slide the scroll bar to the day and time in the next 7 days. You can copy the time and send it to the other person. Try it!

Have you had that "Upcoming price change for your Microsoft 365 subscription" email yet? They want to charge you an extra 50%ish for AI features, and they do *not* make it easy to find the way to turn it off. It took me minutes of searching - this is a particularly evil dark pattern.

"Switch plan" just lets you pick between annual and monthly billing. You want "Turn off recurring billing" and then "Current subscription without AI".

@JamminJerry Four sticks equals 1 pound. Each stick has approximately 8 tablespoons if you’re measuring. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find it for less than about four dollars per pound.

@JamminJerry I honestly don’t know, but I don’t think you can. I usually just get it in the sticks. Also, it’s safe to leave a stick out on the counter to stay soft for using on bread and etc.
