If you are #trans and a US citizen, you should absolutely, 100% apply for a passport this year, whether you plan to travel or not. Yes, it costs $$, but you can self-select your gender without bureaucratic BS (thanks, Joe), and it lasts 10 years and is valid ID everywhere in the world. Whatever fascist laws your GOP reps are proposing in your state legislature about gender markers on IDs, you will have a federal document that reflects your actual gender. And if necessary, you can use it to leave the country.

That's awesome! When you have it written up, make sure and create an issue on https://github.com/CraftComputing/ProjectAxeEffect. I can add it to our documentation.
Nick @linustechtips has some great taste in merch stores!
We are developing the PoE version right now, and it sounds like we'll be supporting passive AND active PoE profiles.
The beta is actually based on an RP2040, not Arduino.
Right now, the focus is 100% SNMP, but we're actively exploring MQTT and Prometheus integrations. Those won't be available at launch, but we're hoping to add them via firmware update in the future.
@jameshubbard Our PoE version that's currently in development is 100% going to have a water contact sensor.
@cdp1337 Late reply, but I'm here π
It looks like we're going to be able to support Active PoE. Still waiting for confirmation from my dev, but early testing has gone well.
I now have an IANA number, and can develop my own MIB/OID trees. I'm going to work with SNMP monitor developers to integrate my OIDs into their apps natively, though that's entirely on them if it happens or not.
I tried a couple small electric drivers, and they didn't have enough torque to cut threads reliably π
I'm currently working on a second video, where I go over some of the questions I received after the announcement video.
We still have a few units left in our allocation for the second (and final) round of Beta shipping. Head over to https://CraftComputing.com to secure one.
Cheers!
In the meantime, I have published the first version of our ReadMe file, as well as STL files for the case over on Github. The STLs will also be available on Printables for those wanting to customize their units.

Hey everyone,
Just a quick update on Axe Effect Beta. The first 300 boards have arrived in the US. I was originally scheduled to receive them on Thursday, but they've been held up in Customs. At this point, they should be released in the next few days, and we'll begin final QA, flashing, and then shipping this next week.
I'm really excited for you all to get your hands on these.
You still have time to grab a Beta SNMP Temperature Sensor. 277 sold, 123 still available! https://craftcomputing.com
@Flop_Ysh The APC does whole numbers only, and fluctuates by 1-2C as well. My sensor has a 0.01C fidelity π
"Why are you building a temp sensor? Don't those already exist?"
Here's my APC Environmental Monitor 2 vs Axe. Same 60s polling rate, and the probes are 1-inch apart from each other on the front of the rack. See if you can spot the difference.
Ever needed to monitor the temperature of your server rack, but don't have $600 to do so?
I decided it should be cheap, so I made this.
Probably the biggest announcement in the history of my channel is happening tomorrow. I can't wait to share what I've been cooking up.
@vinski That's my thought as well, which is why I really want to pursue this against Zenimax.
@notsle If that's the case, that's potentially perjury, as DMCA's are supposed to be issued in good faith.
