Often while claiming to care about healthcare, or accessibility, or humanity, or ethics. But you don't. You've been duped. The far right extreme has won you over. As we all boil in a pot of hot water, on a stove heated by the playbooks of fascism.

I hate to think about what comes next.

I turned in my last batch of inks last night for Dead Boy Detectives #2.

I 'think' that's it for me for this issue, but as it was American Thanksgiving yesterday, I'm guessing the rest of the team is in a Turkey induced tryptophan coma for the rest of the weekend so I won't find out until Monday!

I guess it's back to putting on the siding on the shed today!

I joined Twitter to network with and follow fellow comic book creators, which was a bit of a bust, but the positive benefit of Twitter was the algorithm pushing content in my timeline I wasn’t getting on Other social, giving me an in depth view into broader moments of the human experience I might not have seen otherwise.
The bad was seeing the hate and harassment that follows. I get why people call Twitter a hell scape. But I’m not sure what option out there can replace it.

I deleted the bird site app off my iPad and phone in an attempt to cut the doom scroll habit. I’m going to keep my account for just in case.
In a lot of ways it isn’t a big loss. I got zero engagement on there. Posting anything other than art always felt like spitting in the wind or talking to myself. I didn’t post much because of it.
But, it was the best method of getting up to date info during a crisis, and the past 3 years have seemed like crisis after crisis stacked on top of ongoing crisis.

@pauljholden I’ve had that exact feeling lately.
I have a cartoony streak, but I tend to fight it in an attempt to be like my mid-century adventure strip artist heroes. I did this thing 10 yrs ago that took place in the 30’s and I decided to try a Caniff approach instead of my failed Hal Foster thing, and amplified the cartooning and goofy posing, and I think it is the only thing I’ve drawn that I’m close to 90% happy with.

I’ve been thinking I should try to push my art more in that direction.
