Thanks everyone! Cool to see people getting involved!
Very fun new @Deciphersec podcast with my old friend Jeff Gothelf, talking about lean UX, collaboration for security teams, and lots of other stuff.

I finally got to finish watching this. When you said Chekhov's popcorn I knew exactly which two scenes you were referencing, but I'm so glad I took the time.
And for the record, if you pull the "is that your real hair" bit I would probably fall over laughing.
@badsamurai @neurovagrant @wendynather Love it!
And in which I invented a phrase I’m very proud of: “Chekhov’s popcorn.” #IYKYK

Hoe. Lee. Shit. @Deciphersec is back! A new podcast just dropped, surprising me when I saw it, about halfway through it and thought I’d post something about it. Congrats to @dennisf and @LindseyODWelch welcome back home!
Your technical disaster was a management choice.
Avoid building teams to fail under pressure:
- treat incident response as an organizational capability, not a technical problem
- reverse-engineer positive outcomes & ID the management decisions needed to make it happen
- know the difference between decision frameworks & decision trees
- stop wasting money on compliance over resilience
- budget decisions determine which technical failures are “acceptable,” so you can’t say security is improtant to you unless you invest like it is
- run management decision audits in addition to the technical teams’ post-mortems
A welcome return of the podcast @Deciphersec with @dennisf and @LindseyODWelch

Very fun new podcast/video with Brian Raftery on his new Ringer podcast on the Sony hack of 2014. It was a big deal in the security world, but the ripple effects in Hollywood have continued for a decade.
