@intarga Yeah! The TM / HM learn dialogue is pretty slow to this day and I’m not sure why the did that? But over all I’d argue the texts and descriptions are not enough in this Generation. Think about attacks: You basically have to know what they do or experiment. Or buying TMs: What exactly is this move?

Is #Pokemon Gen1 considered a #metroidvania?

With the HMs you get new abilities throughout the game that allow you to travel along new paths and find some hidden secrets (Power Plant, museum side entrance). Sometimes you need to explore dead ends or backtrack to get new moves (HM01 Cut e.g).

It very much feels like #gen1 fits the description here. Probably #gen2, #gen3 and #gen4 as well

@fediplayspokemon Did we already saw a wild encounter at all? Or did we by accident find a new mechanic in Gen2 where taking long breaks between inputs prevents wild encounters?

@fediplayspokemon I thin it wouldn‘t hurt us to get some extra, but yesterday the fediverse decided we don‘t. We were quite literally in the menu to buy them. So let‘s hope for the best.
