i keep trying automation games but i can never 'crack' them (when it comes to my understanding). oddsparks does enough differently to help onboard, but i simply don't think i'm cut out for these games when playing solo. too much overthinking and decision paralysis on my end

i feel like a mild dumbass for buying peak. i imagine it's fine and fun with others, but finding others (no, i don't want to get called slurs in a discord server) that -legitimately- want to play is really difficult, and there's no mechanics in single player to help out

nintendo increasing the price of switch online and offering nothing additional for it is the nail in the coffin for me. them being allergic to making it worthwhile and having its console libraries a drip of mostly filler and never being on time is some nonsense

sure, you want to clear your roulettes all quick-like so you can level faster, but enforcing speedrunning mentality into others suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks

even in trials/raids which makes my head hurt; you can't pull boss fights faster, because the entire party needs to pitch in order to deal damage? last i checked, a tank can't out-damage four dps???

it's saddening that ffxiv's playerbase values tanks only by the speed in which they can pull dungeons and beat world record clear times; managing mobs and understanding mechanics isn't even considered, just purely 'how fast can you zip and/or zoom through the instance'
