As of now the traffic is low, but network usage has grown I think 60% last i saw.
It sounds like you don’t have many witnesses from either a low antenna placement or you are too far to witness. Either improve your setup or sell it online. I’ve been buying used ones online and expanding my hosts.
How much HNT were you mining? I’m getting around .7-1.0 HNT a week per miner. At $1 a week that’s at least $52 a year. I doubt your electricity is costing even half of that.
I can understand not running a hotspot to pay hosts, but electricity seems a little extreme to me.
