people dont pay as much for animated series (or TV series generally) as they used to. Viewrship is down, as is streaming subscription. People will prefer to watch Youtube or TickTok, and just pirate a series they like. They are also not ready to buy a single series.
What they are willing to pay for is computer games. So this is actually an animated series with fake game mechanics slapped on, because that's where the money is.
