I'm having a really odd issue on my computer (Win11), that happened for the first time a few weeks ago:
Any key combo involving ALT+arrow keys just, stops working.
Everything is fine after a reboot, to be clear! It just...occasionally starts happening after my computer's already been on
I used a program that detects what's going on when you use certain hotkeys, and what I discovered symptom-wise is that specifically when holding down "ALT" and pressing any of the arrow keys, it produces the numpad arrow equivalents (num 2/4/6/8), instead of the arrow keys
Which, is is a problem for things like:
- navigating the Task Switcher that alt+tab brings up (bc you hold tab during that,)
- going back/forward on web pages or in Explorer
- navigating channels in Discord (alt+up/down/left/right, or alt+shift+up/down/left/right)
I thought it was something odd and unique to me, until it happened to my friend a few days ago too. Same exact issue, also win11. also solved by a reboot, temporarily.
I thought maybe it was my keyboard, but it happens with the On-Screen Keyboard too! With numlock on, and off.
Have any of you had anything like this happen? Do you have any ideas?
i'd definitely welcome boosts for reach :>
