@mjbdiver Sherman, you da man, I mean the dog! Your family was so great. You always find the best spots to nest here. You'll find the best spots for your entire family to nest when they get there with you.
@hal_pomeranz
This far and no further. The humans may come and go but the last one will not leave without me noticing.

I have enjoyed watching you every day. you are aging, are we all. You are now harried and your eyes are cloudy. Live the best life you have left with your human. I know they will be there with you to the end.
@BrianJopek
Those are great pictures preserving and Elite moment. Those must be fabulous memories
That empty space will still be there even if you find another dog. A new dog does not fill the emptiness, but with a new dog, you can share those memories and enjoy watching the new one find their own space.
You gave Muffin a priceless gift by being there to take her in; an enduring gift by walking with her for five years; and a selfless gift by being with her to the end.
If you follow #dogs and #dogsOfMastodon, then everyday will like the bestest Christmas ever πΆ
You will be with her to the last. That is the sacred file that you have with each other. It is very painful but it is what you know you must do. It is what I have done. It is what so many others have done.
Digby, aka Woody was his shelter name, also has socialiation issues. Big, small, medium, he barks and lunges at all of them. But if/when he meets/greets any of them, he is at first friendly then sniffy and then totally indifferent. It is really really weird.

This picture is so sad. Dogs should not be on a chain.
@MtnSunTrees
He was a beautiful boy.

Dog guards the throne π
Parents know how to push our buttons because they installed them. As we age, we must all learn to rewire what we expect and how we respond. We must build our own networks and learn to understand our parents' frailties. We do this not just for them, or even mostly for them, but for ourselves. But, it is great if it helps others too. π
@APBBlue
OK, mine was prostate, so really different, but perhaps equally worrisome and unpleasant. I have backed out of procedures when I was not trusting my providers, but in general they are all really good people doing their best and in general I am there exuding confidence in their skills. So trust in your people and the science and endure. You got this!
@Pippz
That is perhaps the greatest picture of dogos ever
