Digby, aka Woody was his shelter name, also has socialiation issues. Big, small, medium, he barks and lunges at all of them. But if/when he meets/greets any of them, he is at first friendly then sniffy and then totally indifferent. It is really really weird.

Parents know how to push our buttons because they installed them. As we age, we must all learn to rewire what we expect and how we respond. We must build our own networks and learn to understand our parents' frailties. We do this not just for them, or even mostly for them, but for ourselves. But, it is great if it helps others too. 😁

OK, mine was prostate, so really different, but perhaps equally worrisome and unpleasant. I have backed out of procedures when I was not trusting my providers, but in general they are all really good people doing their best and in general I am there exuding confidence in their skills.
