Small, teardrop shaped island with five buildings of various sizes (possibly a house with barns and outbuildings) on the lower right side. The point of the drop has a little round pond, then a very small, nearly enclosed inlet. There are trees on the left, below the closed side of the inlet and a series of shrubs around the edges of the island. Spring is browned grass and leafless trees and shrubs. There is still a bit of ice on the surface of the pond and inlet.

Fall is browning grass and the trees and shrubs are about halfway shifted to a crisp gold. There are three canoes in a row, keels up in the lower left, just below a newish looking L-shaped floating dock.

The island in winter. The surrounding water and the pond / inlet are iced over. There is a light coat of snow on everything. There are long shadows slanting down on the left across the ice from the sun shining through the leafless trees and shrubs.

Around 8pm it got started, with just a hint of post-sunset blue in the sky.

I figured nothing much would happen tonight, because there would be too much cloud cover. But I was wrong!

Every so often the Nordlys soften out and the dark sky returns.

Only moments later to roar back into life.

@BrentToderian We recently purchased an aparte in Dijon, < 5 min to bakery, les Halles, multiple restaurants, natural wine shop, spectacular cheese shop. Loving #dijonlife such a contrast to the US, though #northloop Minneapolis is a close runner-up!
