Despite spending the last week or so reading about coffee machines and espresso methods I’m starting the day with a tea infusion.

Having worked in the cycling industry prior to a global pandemic I took up running to spend more time with my family. Since then I have caught the 'long run' bug and challenged myself.
Now back in the tech industry I am fascinated by using technology to help live a healthier and more sustainable life.
Day life is spent in WordPress and talking all things technical SEO.
Despite spending the last week or so reading about coffee machines and espresso methods I’m starting the day with a tea infusion.
@apkeedle most channels would work, just not been opening apps and scrolling as much. They say it should be good for you but I’m not so sure
@apkeedle I guess only for birthday related messages. Hope you had a good day.
@apkeedle happy burthday you grumpy old sod!
Confession: Have used Claude over the last couple of days and ChatGPT today.
I really need to overcome my prejudging of AI and start to understand how best to use it.
@charliemchapman @Launched I remember it but sorry to say that it currently has a little snooze icon next to it on @overcastfm
Found some photos of a gravel race I did earlier in the summer. First day was a lovely day out. Day two was not so pretty.
Stunning evening riding home. Long shadows and the fresh smell of earth from the fields.
@officehippy decoupling of heart rate normally indicates the system is not able to maintain performance and having to work the cardiovascular system harder. Most likely you have identified it as dehydration but can also be related to heat or lack aerobic fitness.
At present, every time I see a St. George flag flowing from a building I like to pretend it is there from a patriotic love for their country.
Not a un-rational hatred for other countries
Forgotten just how good a mind twist Interstellar is. My daughter is watching it but I think the space scenes are keeping her entertained
@Luke at least my feed is so much better now.
Can not resonate enough with this.
The irony is that I probably found it via the very thing it is trying to solve.
After a rather wet and soggy commute into work I find that I have forgotten my socks. I guess it could have been a whole lot worse but not looking forward to all day wet feet.
@apkeedle very true. Although this feels unfair as not only do I get support requests from the younger generation but also tech requests from the older generation!
@recollir have not watched it yet but like you I’m happy to have walked away from the service.
I get why some find it a motivator, for me it just created a toxic relationship with sport and exercise.
Last night my 14 year old son asked for help with his English homework.
Turns out he was fine with the work his problem was that working on an iMac he followed a link that had downloaded a file.
As he runs *everything* full screen he did not know what was happening.
Talking to him it becomes clear that he has no real understanding of downloads and the concept of a file system was alien.
The pdf file was also unknown. Seriously what do they teach in schools these days.
Pulled a late one last night and ended up cycling home in the dark. Whilst it was mild I am really not ready for full winter commute mode.
