Aaaand the Maj Jongg VGA tileset I made when I was a kid. There is no way I can explain to you what all these aardvarks, prunes, and other things mean they are related to the cult I started in high school.
That's me I'm Gar. he/him

TECH HELP! Man this program was great. It has an extended ascii table. Sort of. Because the default ascii table has blank entries for 00 and ff it doesn't even try to display them. I snuck in character data for those but they don't show up on this page.
@balint The 3 midi files I made in some old janky composing software are forever gone and I think about them all the time. I'd love to hear those things again.
Been plunking around w/ my old high school DOS files and loaded up the console font I made. Still pretty proud at this effort. One of these days I should get around to making it something I could use in a modern terminal. One of these days. In the back of my head I also remember having a program that would show you the whole ascii charset but I can't seem to find it so maybe I imagined it.
I have never felt as old as when I sit down at my kid's computer and try to do something. Their settings are all wrong, their mouse speed is WAY too high, the resolution on the monitor requires my GOOD reading glasses.
Just a reminder this is a personal account and I block first and don't even ask questions later.
Happy npm cli release day to all who observe!
I'm still super proud of the work we did way back in the olden days with nsp. Auditing and acknowledging alerts at a granular level was a first class feature.
Security scanning tools really should have matured beyond "have this version in your tree or not". It's very possible to not be vulnerable to something even though a given package is in your tree with some known CVE. We've turned it into theater, checking off a box without any introspection about how we use what's in the tree.
Update: the beeps all work but I'm still getting some error in the status window about something it's not happy with. I feel soooo rusty lol.

Fired up dosbox for the first time in a long time and poked around some old assembler programs I had written 30 years ago. Turns out there isn't support for whatever interrupts or ports I was using for making beeps on the speaker as one typed. If I were much younger and had much more free time I think this would be something I'd try to fix.
This little stuffed bean bag frog lived on the back of my grandparents' chair during my childhood. I inherited it when they passed. I'm torn between whether or not to repair its eyes and give it a little more stuffing or to let it be as it is.
Hey. It's wintertime. Why not treat yourself to a bouquet of flowers? Just put it on your desk while you work. You're allowed to get them for yourself, I promise.
What's up my fellow northern hemisphere friends? We're almost there! We made it! Winter Solstice is Sunday. Each day is going to be longer than the last, go out and enjoy the sun!
