A ghostly icy village on an almost frozen river.

The ends of twigs and branches from a fallen tree dipping into the cold river, and just above the water those branches have formed rings of ice, the bottom of each ring made up of icicles stretching down towards the water, like skirts, or perhaps small round ice houses.The tones in the photo are mainly greys and whites, with only the bare parts of the tree branches providing a tiny hint of warmth with browns.

I was thinking about ghosts, last year, when I was in the cancer ward overnight.

I wondered at first if I should be scared, because, hospital, you know? Lots of people died there.

But then I thought, these are probably people that died of cancer. And *I'm* here for cancer. I'll bet there isn't a ghost in here that isn't rooting for me and everyone else on this floor. I think I'm in pretty good company.

Update on Clive - the #FeralCat that my friend recently rescued from her rural property in Yellowpoint - Cedar/Ladysmith area.

Clive had his full vet check up & he is #FIV+. He'll require regular visits to vet to monitor his health condition & get vaccines as needed.
Clive got all his vaccines last week & is doing pretty good. He got neutered & treated for fleas & worms too. My friend has moved him from the studio outbuilding into her home. Clive is still very timid but is slowly coming around. He is a very sweet & handsome kitty cat ❤️
