@Teskariel Absolutely it does. I usually try to keep work and life as separated as possible. This is one of those instances where "explaining to a colleague what to do in my absence" would have taken MUCH longer than "doing it myself to prevent utter chaos on my return next week" ^^;

A long week of Nippon Connection Japanese Movie Festival ahead of me... and here I am, obsessing over packing, what I should wear and how I will need to still work on my first day of vacation because my projects ganged up on me on the last day of work. Aaah.

After a little over five months it was definitely time for a first strings change on the Tele - trying the Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42. Perfect opportunity for cleaning and oiling the fretboard, too.

I played the bagpipes and guitar for seven years on stage.

I used to play in a rather big and famous band.
I quit because I was forced to be who I wasn't. Because I was estranged by who people would take me for.
Be yourself and be who makes you happy.

I just realized I'll be rich in old age, after work.

I'll just do it like back in the days when I played music in the streets. I'll set down my hat... and proclaim I will only stop when the hat is full of money. Then play absolutely horribly and noisily.

Just to make up for a week where I only have one free day this week... I will have a week where I only work one day next week.

I have no idea, how German Telekom fucked up, but for 12 hours now half of the websites won't load, my work computer is refusing to connect to my company VPN, desktop Signal app won't connect, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix won't work... Ungh :(

"Oh well. Probably some generic 'how to open a support case' video from the FAQs"... nope. They went out of their way to address me personal ("Hi Gekko, thanks for reaching out"), then proceeded to show exactly this model of pedal taken apart in their workshop, explained and suggested what to do to fix the problem at home and asked me to come back in case I have questions.

I am speechless with how awesome this was. Fixed the pedal, all good - I know where I will go for my next purchase 💖

I found nothing specific to this issue, but only a "JHS Pedal Users" group on facebook, which I signed up to and posted my problem.

10 minutes later somebody mentioned "not normal" and @ed another person to look at it.

10 more minutes later that other person asked me to contact them... at the support email address of the actual (small number of people) manufacturer.

I sent them my pictures and description of the problem and after around 2 hours received an eMail with a video attached. 🧵

Yesterday I received the most amazing customer support I ever experienced.

A while ago I got "The Bonsai" overdrive pedal from JHS. When I noticed the status LED sinking more and more into the casing I asked Thomann for support. However, since accidentally tearing the serial number sticker off the bottom with the velcro I stuck on there, they refused to just swap it for a new one and offered to give a cost estimate for repair. So I started googling for people with the same issue... 🧵
