Nailed it with this one.
Good move by Hollen.
The divergent information spaces around this topic continue to amaze me.
The more facts we find and the courts uncover, the more energy they put into spreading their lies and misinformation.
Maintaining democracy in the US always seems to come down to depending on a few good people left standing.
I just hope there's enough to put an end to this abomination of a presidency.
Senator Chris Van Hollen acted with strength. He showed respect for the government of El Salvador, worked with the embassy, and used local press and social media to document his work. He used international law relevant to the case.
May this be a lesson for do something folks.
It takes politicking for politics. It takes patience and wisdom to be effective. We should want people like him to work for us.

I somehow doubt he was the mastermind behind either.
The amount of MAGA followers that aimlessly believe every single reduction in government workforce is a necessary elimination of wasteful spending kills me.
To be clear, kills me less literally than the way these decisions are likely to affect the lives of millions of Americans.
And this will be one of the justifications for other countries not importing U.S. produce, dairy, or meat.

I mean, I haven’t talked to everyone because that would obviously take awhile but I feel pretty sure no one thinks egg prices are getting too low except maybe some price gougers.

It's really important that every single Republican who refuses to act to stop this wanton destruction of the American economy be held responsible. They could make this stop tomorrow if they had any semblance of care or love for our country. They're destroying our country for Trump.
The next round of Trump’s tariffs could hurt even more. Here’s what to expect | CNN Business

Folks not being able to get their meds is the next chapter.
Imposing major tariffs on pharmaceuticals particularly those manufactured in or sourced from China would be nothing short of catastrophic for the United States. The American pharmaceutical supply chain is deeply dependent on China for raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and even finished drugs.
Catastrophic.
But hey, libs were owned.

Trump also announces US tariff applied on products from China being raised, effective immediately, to 125%.
The Voice of America has been a powerful and incredibly cost-effective force for truth. Americans' tax dollars supported unbiased, fact-based journalism, reaching 360 million globally, telling America's story -- making VOA a crucial soft-power tool for strategic diplomacy and the national interest.
Even more chaotic than dealing with goat births while still teaching, is trying to get the mamas and few-day-old babies to walk across the giant melting snowdrifts from the barn to the outdoor pen every day. Yesterday the baby goats discovered the physics of ice, and it was so sad and so hilarious at the same time (yes, I went and rescued all the trapped babies immediately after I finished laughing my head off and taking a photo)
@TonyStark This is not how I hoped to spend my retirement - worrying about my portfolio and my healthcare. We can probably ride this out, but I fear for the many, many others who have fewer resources to fall back on.
@northernlights I feel bad for kids the most. Two Trump terms, COVID. Fewer rights for young women. History being erased. People being snatched off the street. On and on.
I can't hold my tears. Every day the Russians kilІ our people, our children. My heart is breaking with anger and injustice. What kind of peace can there be with Russia? We want justice.
We want every russian crіme to be called by its name. So that the world doesn't turn a blind eye to pain and blood. So that there is no false reconciliation at the expense of our future.
@ClintBarton Here’s how many people feel sorry for Elon Musk losing some money when he will still have a whole bunch anyway plus the amount of people who aren’t MAGA nuts that trust anything Trump says.
This year today, my birthday, makes history as the day Trump broke the machine. The goose, while admittedly a bit fat, who nevertheless laid the golden eggs, is gone.
Never in a million years would I ever have dreamed that an absolute maniac would be in charge of our great country.
Yet here we are.
No shit.
