The AKP is holding its central executive board meeting on the Istanbul Convention tomorrow (the meeting was postponed from earlier in August). President Erdoğan has signalled that Turkey ought not to rely on "translated texts" so I'm not hopeful that Turkey will not withdraw or amend law 6248 to the detriment of victims of violence.

The now 24 year old woman, was kidnapped during 2014 invasion of Sinjar & subsequent massacre of Yezidis by #ISIS, she was 16 year old then. She was brought in 2018 by an Iraqi Turkmen & living in #Mosul. The Iraqi Turkmen relocated to Ankara 10 months ago with his two wives & kids.
