Iām not too sure
Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live? Like many others (or so I imagine) I would readily go back in time to visit my younger self. However, having said that I wouldnāt wish to relive those parts of my life again, but rather gently counsel and influence how I saw myself, others, and perceived life. I would whisper words of encouragement, trying to remove the shackles of anxiety, perfectionism, low self esteem and the effects of trauma.

What historical event fascinates you the most? Again this type of question is too substantive to answer with a simple response. Iām fascinated by both modern and ancient history. Moreover, Iām fascinated by the vast number of historical events which could easily serve as lessons in humanity. That is historical events which could easily help shape contemporary societyās understanding of humanity, and influence thought and actions, contributing to positive change.
A kid at heart ā¦
What does it mean to be a kid at heart? It means being able to readily summon feelings and experiences of joy. It means allowing myself to live in the moment and embrace a sense of awe and wonder. At its very core it allows me to be both grounded and an untethered balloon at the same time. My inner child keeps my ego at bay, and is the source of my compassion and intuition. Sheās my fierce little warrior that successfully got me through some very traumatic events.
Tough choice
You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for? Firstly Iād ask for ā¦ā¦ā¦. Secondly Iād ask for ā¦ā¦.. Thirdly Iād ask for ā¦ā¦.. To be honest if there was a 4th wish Iād wish for more time to get the wishes right. Until then Iām going to daydream.

Describe a family member. As the 8th child of 10 kids (Iām the 3rd youngest) my immediate family truly served and continues to serve as a tiny microcosm of society. You name it, weāve got it! The personality types, traits ā¦ from the good, the bad and the very very ugly. Suffice it to say that amongst the lot of my siblings, there is one that is fiercely loyal, loving and authentic.

Good question
What is your favorite form of physical exercise? Definitely swimming (Iām actually sitting in my magnesium mineral backyard pool right now as I write this) I also love gardening (which Iāve just done two hours of, including repotting tomatoes and some other plants). Yes, itās only spring but the weathers been good enough to swim already. I love bushwalking, but snakes are too active at present, so Iām reluctant to venture far into the bush.
How much would I pay to visit the moon?
How much would you pay to go to the moon? Zero, zip, zilch. In other words, nada! This question reminds me of the novel āFeedā by M.T Anderson, which explores issues of consumerism (plus much more). In the novel society travels to the moon, as itās become a rich personās holiday destination. Yet, just like earth, the moon ends up becoming polluted and disrespected by humanityās greed, ignorance and insatiable appetite for something new and exciting.

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in? Iām seriously contemplating an alternate career involving full time writing and photography. The only problem is that it doesnāt provide the financial freedoms and safety that my current career does. Given that I am a parent and have a mortgage, Iām somewhat hemmed in. Hence, I write and am a photographer in my spare time.

What major historical events do you remember? I know without a shadow of a doubt that October 14th 2023 will be a moment forever etched within Australian history and on our collective psyche. On October 14th, 2023 a referendum was held to effectively ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples were given a āVoiceā within our antiquated constitution. A voice enshrined in law, which enabled true self-determinism.

So many dreams ā¦ where do I start?
Whatās the biggest risk youād like to take ā but havenāt been able to? One part of me would love to sell up and buy an acreage approximately 2-4 hours outside of Sydney. I would try and create an almost self-subsistence lifestyle. However, we would also run a country retreat for people to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Whatās something most people donāt know about you? If I could be any animal Iād be half sea-eagle and half dolphin. With an almost omnipresent Birds-Eye view Iād ride upon the thermals. Then, when feeling a need to be immersed in water would duck and dive, morphing into a dolphin. I would feel the water caress and cradle me. Iād derive great freedom and joy whilst riding upon the crest of the waves and gliding through the glistening water.
